I 've always though that an hartail is the perfect bike for freeriding: you can climb mountains and then ride it easily. Of course, you will go faster with a dh bike, but the pleasure is not the same. You really feel the trail (sometimes too much =) ) and thats cool to ride both. thats why i'm gonna built up an hardtail which i could use for enduro and soft dh, so that I could ride two bikes to have as much possibility as i want, and I could let a friend ride one while i ride the other.

and you say that some of them are rich enough to change of bike very often? In France too: Iknow a man who as 4 Transition bikes !
